openvocs: Voice Loops in the browser

An open source core for loops, roles and Push-to-Talk. Plus two commercial modules and services for integration and operations.

Core

What openvocs does

Each position monitors several loops at once and talks via Push-to-Talk on the one it needs. The configuration defines which loops a role sees.

Loops
Several conferences in parallel, each position in several at once
Roles
Loop configuration per role
Push-to-Talk
Talk at the press of a key, several positions at the same time
Mixing
Multichannel mixing on the server, latency below 1 ms
Sign-in
Web-based authentication and access control
Encryption
Signaling over secure WebSockets, audio over WebRTC with DTLS/SRTP
License
Core under Apache-2.0, modules commercial

Distributed control rooms and partners share loops without shared hardware.

Field sites and mobile

Anyone with network access joins with a laptop and a headset. No client software.

Isolated networks
