Voice Loops for events
Event control, security and technical crews talk over laptops instead of radios. Each group has its own loop, event control hears all of them.
Diagram, not a screenshot. Two positions talk at the same time, the server mixes.
Loop example
A typical event control room
At trade fairs, in arenas and at major events, a control room coordinates security, technical crews and crowd management. With every event the teams change, and so do the loops.
- EVENT CONTROL
- Event management and control room
- SECURITY
- Stewards and security staff
- TECHNICAL
- Stage, hall and building technology, listening
- MEDICAL
- Medical service, joins when needed
What openvocs contributes
Laptop instead of radio
Participants need a laptop, a headset and a browser. No radios, no client software.
Several people talk at once
Unlike radio, nobody waits for the channel to clear. The server mixes.
Loops per event
The configuration defines loops and roles to fit each event.
Field sites and mobile
Anyone with network access joins with a laptop and a headset. No client software.
Requirements for the operator
Events are not among the sectors covered by the BSIG. Requirements come from the event’s safety concept and from the venue operator.
Not legal advice. More on the page Security and compliance.
Request a demo
The demo runs in the browser and takes about 45 minutes. Afterwards we work out loops, roles and integrations for the control room in question.
